To Life Poem by Rayno Elroy Davids

To Life

Dear life, wish I laughed more, loved more, made more mistakes.
Played the fool
executed this portrait, instead of chissling it as a sculpture on a page.
Endulgence,
wish we were the best of friends,
should have taken you out on dates-
should've made you a life long lesson, a companion,
you should have been my essence.
Im the picture without the embrace of being hugged by the frame-
my life's as empty as the absence of God's love:
so I'm living in pain.
This is a thought, not a poem these words are bound in sentence,
not jailed-
but without you,
I might as well be in prison,
this's like being inlove, with the partner missing-
