To Mother Poem by Leslie Alexis

To Mother

Oh mama, best definition of true beauty
My Mama, you’ve always been there for me
How can I ever show thanks to thee
For the days, that you didn’t abandon me
For the ways, you found to provide for me.
Mama, I have not been the best son to thee
But you love me; in your eyes, I’m always worthy.
Oh! Your love, for me, no woman can give
I thank you, Mother; I thank you for every day I live.
The rod, I’m happy you did not spare
You grew me well, each day and year
To love the lord, and all, far and near.
The man I am today, is all because of you
And for this, Mama, I love you! ! !
