To My Special Someone Poem by david roberts

To My Special Someone

I feel my heart stop beating when I see your beautiful face, I feel all the words I want to say to you slip away, when you are close to me, I feel my legs get weak when I touch your lips, I feel complete and whole when your body is touching mine and I miss you when you are not around me

I thought I was so stong, but I meet you and I found out that I am weak, I found out that my armor isn’t white and shining. It is dirty and broken, I wish I could be a perfect man for you, but I’m not perfect. I no hero, I’m a zero, but when I am with you, I feel like I am ten feet tall and bullet proof, my heart has been locked away for so long it is cold and has been turned to stone, but you somehow turned it back to normal, I will always be your guardian that will protect you from harm, your knight and shining armor for you, your samurai who will proteat your honer with my life, or should I say your “superhero”.

You are a true fantasy that can not be for real, I would love to be with you for eternity as friends or as more, it is your choise, but don’t drag your feet for to long, I’ve made that mistake once before and I regret it now. I wish I could forget about it now it is what turned my heart to stone in the first place. I’m not trying to tell you what to do something your heart isn’t in to, I just want to see you be happy and safe.

I’m so sorry for this, but what is in my heart for you my special someone, best friend or more. You are truly beautiful in my eyes, I wish I could take a star form the heaven and put it around your neck, but it would frown into comparison to your beautiful face.

I wish I could find out what you are a angel sent from the heaven, or a demon that is sent here to hunt me, I know what you are, you are a heroine. My heroine, you’re here to save me now from myself and make me a better man.
