To Nikita Mikhalkov 70 Poem by Liza Sud

To Nikita Mikhalkov 70

Although Paratov is a scoundrel,
But women love him very much:
A guy tormented by a passion -
eternal beagle runs through life!

'Oblomov', 'At home among strangers...':
the sun is tireless, not burnt;
the knives of critics are sharp, edgy,
But Maitre still lives and film goes on!

I know this fikmmaker! ! His BURNT BY THE SUN is an amazing tragedy of a good man destroyed but what courage he showed. The director played the lead character, right? But my favorite film by Mikhalkov is OBLOMOV. I love that novel, I read it twice, three years apart. It's a novel that seeps into your soul. I saw the film with two friends who were bored, but they did not have the memory of the novel to guide their viewing. The scene where he stays up all night just watching the window behind which his beloved sleeps is so romantic, and heart-breaking too. Thanks for sharing Mikhalov's birthday!
