Will you come with me tonight
To that old pond?
Where we sat under the moonbeam
Hand in hand and eyes locked together
And the night passed in total silence
Where the dew covered our shyness
And our frozen heart melted
And flowed from the mountain
And to take the wings
And flew away, leaving our body
To explore the beauty of this life
And the pains, sorrow passed under the bridge
As we reached the constellation of the stars
To glide down to the pond again.
A lovely moment of the past has been so touchingly delineated here in this poem. Let me cite - Where we sat under the moonbeam / Hand in hand and eyes locked together / And the night passed in total silence / Where the dew covered our shyness. Such a beautiful poem. Five stars.
Pains and sorrows of love and life! ! ! ! Thanks for sharing this poem with us.
That's another poem on meeting at night. It is so animated that the reader has no way to remain only a reader or a passive entity. Thanks, Asim ji. Great energy poured in to the words.
Nicely painted with romantic fabrics.... Thank you for the poem being shared.
