To Sin Is To Love Poem by Jade Baker

To Sin Is To Love

Rating: 5.0

They say that love is beautiful,
That there’s nothing that can compare,
So why do they cast us,
With their icy cold glare,
If love is supposed to be so natural,
Then why are we being punished,
Don’t they understand,
That this is love,
When I hold your hand,
Cant they see,
That our love comes naturally,
How can they say that it’s so wrong,
To love, to adore, to be with someone,
Sometimes I want to run away,
So I don’t have to face another day,
Where they will look down on us,
Disgust written on their faces,
But then I realize,
That it’s their problem not mine,
So let them cast us aside,
Let them live with their hatred inside,
Cause I don’t care anymore,
If our love is a sin,
Then I’ll quite happily be buried within

The title won't always be true, but on this occasion the poem makes a strong case for it. Sincere and well written.

They do it probably because they haven't got something as wonderful as you have. Jealous is what they are and always will with people who have something they may never find. Beautiful little poem and so nice to read. Thanks for sharing it. David
