To Sweet Classical Music I Shall Write. Poem by Brett White

To Sweet Classical Music I Shall Write.

To Sweet Classical music I shall write,
About Love gone, but not without a fight.
Where a day seems like an Eternity,
In my Life, without you standing with me.
On a bent knee, I offer a flower,
A Rose's beauty, signifying the Power,
Of Nature's Grace possessed within thee,
From Chestnut locks flowing like the Caspian Sea,
Reflecting, glowing my soft emotions;
Captured by the Sun upon the Oceans,
Of Life, ever turning with the Soft Tide.
Undulating Forever with my Pride.
My Heart's Desire, lost in a Memory,
Drifting further and further to the Sea.
But God and the Clouds, do embrace me,
And keep me warm for Eternity;
So even while the Torrents of Life rage,
With my Heart and Soul, I write this page.
Ever flowing like my Love for you, so true,
That 'twere it a colour, it would be Blue.
Blue like the mood which embraceth me now.
Holding me tightly like the Stars somehow,
Are held Nightly by Heaven's open arms,
And my Soul, my Soul, Powerless to Charms.
You radiate effortlessly by the mile;
A million kilowatts found in your smile.
A Smile which did so often take my breath,
A Smile which could in fact cause my Death.
