To The Bullies In The Playground Poem by Laura Clayton

To The Bullies In The Playground

I still remember all the hurtful things you said to me like it was yesterday
I remember everyone laughing along with you when you called me fat
And that time you pushed me into the wall when I was walking into class
I remember how you said that I would end up with a job at McDonalds
Yet it is you I see working behind the counter now

So thank you for making me feel worthless
Because it has made me a stronger and better person today
Thank you for all the mean things you said to me
Because it made me realize that I never want to be like you
But most of all,
Thank you for telling me that I will never amount to anything
Because I did.
