To The Man Sleeping In The Local In The Wee Hours Of The Morn Poem by Devendra Ashok Singh

To The Man Sleeping In The Local In The Wee Hours Of The Morn

Hey you
catching the last glimpses of sleep;
before it is snatched away from you
and it gets away from me.
If I could, I would really commend.

The steadfast determination,
the perseverance
'tween all that could keep you
from your providence. Sleep

You let nothing disturb,
your nocturnal diligence;
maybe you have had enough
of this eternal awakening.

So sleep now
No one shall take from you
your merry sleep.

'nocturnal diligence' - lovely expression in a well articulated narrative piece of poetry, nicely brought forth with insight. Thanks for sharing Devendra. Please read my poem CHILDREN OF CRUEL FATE.
