To The One I Love, On Valentines Day Poem by Rachael Orme

To The One I Love, On Valentines Day

I cannot do without you, not one day, not one hour, not one second. I cannot live, I cannot breath, I cannot even survive. I don't know where to turn without you. What to do, what to think, what is right or wrong. Only you can see where each seemingly insignificant decision or word will make me end up. Without you, there are a multitude of different ideas, or possibilities all saying- but what if this, or that and all I can say is I don't know. I don't know tomorrow, I can't even plan for today, but that's one of the millions of reasons and areas I need you. You are not just the sun and moon to my night and day, you're the air, and the canter, you're the crystals at the core of the earth that shine in the midst of intolerable heat and still hold their form. You're the unseen, seemingly insignificant molecule, beyond sight, that holds all and everything in being and in place. And it's in the silence of all these things; I hear your voice, more still than silence itself, telling me. Be Still and know that I Am God, and I Am here.
