To You Or Not To You Poem by Sirano Frequito

To You Or Not To You

What's the question? Dare I ask?
They judge wrong and define right
Why am I to wear this mask?
While she's crafting my delight

But in my head no one is king
Her shame surrenders to my theft
For in my dreams I wear no ring
Gasping in sweat she has been left

I won’t ignore my burning chest
We’ve been forever in this room
Just half a meter towards west
She sets my pounding lust in zoom

I rock her world, our bodies fuse
In every corner of this place
Open my eyes and I’m confused
This that I see is not her face

There is no sadness in my soul
I stole a moment, feel alive
I am myself, despite them all
It’s my intent to enjoy the ride

Now back to you, sweet and divine
Don't know defeat, I’ll fill all spaces
In wake or sleep I claim you mine
If dealt with Queens I hold the aces

Blame cannot find a home in me
Short-lived lives are no exception
Why would we not let this be?
Beating hearts need no correction

Our flight was missed several times
And it felt sour to let you go
Now I reach you through my rhymes
Death's awaken from below

While my fingers dance and type
Feel my whisper in your neck
You withhold the slightest gripe
I'm the number one on deck

No more stalled insinuation
We’ve been us merely by words
One long held-back declaration
As we thrive in separate worlds

Choices aren’t common ground
We remain standing still
Senses calm and come around
But inside there is this ill

It’s my selfish point of view
What they would regard as sin
Should I You, or not to you?
I’m a hopeless human being
