Today Is Your Birthday Poem by Alana Simpkins

Today is your birthday,
And you are not here to celebrate.

Since it is your birthday we are sad.
But we are also happy that you are in a better place,
And you are the one we love,

You all missed dearly,
We want to have you back.
But we can't have you back.

You are in a better place which makes
Us happy.
So we would not ask for you to come back.
To come back to all the pain and suffering you went through.

You are not in pain anymore,
And that is why the family is happy.
It was painful to see you in so much pain.

The family all knows you are in a better place.
But we miss and love you dearly.

We all know that if you could come back to us,
you would.
But we would have to send you back,
because we do not want you in any more pain.
