When loneliness calls to the empty heart,
Its echo can be heard by all,
The sound soon reverberates to the soul,
The bitter, painful tears then start to fall
Tears are the same, no matter when they fall
If they are tears of loneliness,
But like stars in the belt of Orion
Are the glistening tears of happiness
How can I hold back these tears that I feel,
Like falling stars, they leave my eyes,
You worshipped at the altar of my heart,
Only you alone heard my silent cries
Today's tears reflect a new beginning,
How they glisten like morning's dew,
But I cry for joy.... your love gives me cause,
Bringing me happiness I never knew
Knowing my love safely dwells in your heart,
The pain of the world disappears,
Sad memories of a meaningless life,
Washed away by the tide of today's tears
Yesterday's tears, dust of unhappy times,
You banished them, then closed the door,
And you alone, my love, rescued my heart,
It's over now ..... the sad tears flow no more!
Ah! One i have no comment on..yet! now to trash this poem! ! ! ! ALL stanzas: check your punctuation. The presence, or lack, of some punctuation marks threw me for a loop. [ i'm here today to reward myself for being a 'good boy' today. Don't let me DOWN! ! ] I often wear a big belt, rivaling that starry one of Orion. If hit by one of " my stars" , you surely would be cryin'! gotta look at another! bri :)
A wonderfully passionate poem of how the heart has turned from aching hurt to being filled with new found hope, joy, and love. Excellent piece.
A lovely elaborate love poem Lora, thank you for sharing the same. Only one thing I'm to say as I feel, when love is entrusted on somebody and if that person deserts or leaves then this life is in a total shamble or distress up to the end. Nothing can console truly.
indeed Lora, love provides the only cause to live, a purpose to be alive.
Excellent writing enjoyed reading. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
