Today You Are Not Here
Today you are not here
I wonder if you can hear
The dull soundless pain in my heart
The white rose in the window had withered, leaving a whiff of its scent
Like how your presence lingered
Even when you are not here
Tell me that you know
That I was thinking of you
The deep gorge you left in my heart remain
Torments, pain, desolution filling its gap
The music you used to listen to
humming in your sleep sometimes
still rings in my ears at night.
Soft, still, silent nights.
I almost made myself believe, with the music in my ears, that you were here once again.
But, today you are not here
Gone...
Like the white rose in the window
Only the ghost of a presence linger
And you don't know, perhaps will never know
How much I was missing you
