Too Close To Hate Poem by Under A Microscope

Too Close To Hate

Resentment is all you have won from me.
Gained it from all you have done or have lacked doing
to deserve any respect from me at all.
You are like a shadow I cannot run from,
in every undesired moment you are there,
making your presence known with that stench of
self pride and ignorance to the point of stupidity.
My blood boils at the sight of you and I try to
escape you any way I can.
Hate is only an action away on your part and
and a thought away on mine.
To think that the blood that runs through my veins somehow
runs through yours makes me sick to my stomach
and I regurgitate everything you are and hope to
be everything you are not.
I cannot wish you away but if i could would I? ?

So you are finally realising how close to our parents we are then? or could that be sibling? Love and hate run hand in hand, and that doesn't just mean only for others! Looking at ourselves Under A Microscope, is what we poets do best Smiling at you Tai
