Top of the mountain (haiku)

All submitted to poetry.com/haiku/haiku contest.asp

top of the mountain
no horizon too distant
together we plunge
- Aug 11,2008

shoulder to shoulder
come tsunami highwater
we'll budge for no one
- Aug 12

last night's searching light
soaring high on a gull's wing
early morning fog
-Aug 13

no whispering sound
snow hushes the pool waters
nature's beauty sleeps
- Aug 14

somewhere in their peaks
mountains covet their secrets
winds cannot whisper
- Aug.15

Match'd with an aged wife, I mete and dole
