Toxic Nutmeg (Euphoria Has Grown Bitter) Poem by Michael Fischer

Toxic Nutmeg (Euphoria Has Grown Bitter)

I wish I could be fear
when you look in mirrors.
You wouldn't see me there;
But I'd be there in prayer!

I want to possess you;
I want to protect you.
I'll keep you safe from harm;
I promise...you won't die in my arms!

I wish I could be fear
when your mind grows unclear.
You wouldn't see me there;
But I'd be there in prayer!

I want to possess you;
I want to protect you.
I'll keep you safe from harm;
I promise...you won't die in my arms!

My record is perfect;
Common sense can't object.
You'll live eternally...
if you listen to me!

I wish I could be fear
when you relive nightmares.
You wouldn't see me there;
But I'd be there in prayer!

I want to possess you;
I want to protect you.
I'll keep you safe from harm;
I promise...you won't die in my arms!

I promise...I won't abandon you!
I promise...I won't abandon you!

I promise to fulfill
my empty promises!
I promise to rebuild
my empty premises!

Death can't hurt you my son;
Because death is painless.
But the events prior...
are the ones that kill us!
