True Love

True Love is just that
Love that when he gets it in his heart
She will get all she needs and wants, whole not pieces and parts.
He's gonna climb high mountains and wade in valleys low
Yet all she'll do is frown, and ask for more and she knows
Because his love is true, more she will get and more he will do
That sacrifice is part of his love so true

True love is just that
Love that when she's got it in her heart
He will be treated like a king, propped up and lifted up to start;
She will cook, clean, earn and wash his nasty underwear
And all he will do is complain, demand, all without shame, without fanfare;
And because her love is true, she will cry a silent tear and strive to continue to
Please him because her suffering goes with her love that is full and true

True Love is just that
The hope of a relationship that it is fulfilling for both and works
It is a hope that the recipients of all the rewards and perks
They will realize that the love they have been given deserves gratitude
And understand true love shared from mind, body, and soul has the fortitude
That builds and edifies both the loving man and the loving woman
To live as one and know true love keeps you together hand in hand.
