Trust Busted Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Trust Busted

Where does one go,
To heal and mend...
A ruined reputation.
Attacked and based upon lies.
Done to do to get their integrity back.
Where does one go?

Where does one go,
To restore their credibility.
When picked to destroy,
Their character.
And good deeds to do this purposely.
Where does one go?

Too many have become dismissed.
For their displays of interests,
And unselfish time to others given.
Too many envious and vindictive,
Eventually expose themselves...
As culprits of evil.
With this too late,
To contemplate the act...
On those sold to have believed,
Someone honest and rare to trust...
Has given up to do that,
Once shown by others...
How quick they can be deceived.
With a doing to allow themselves,
To become their own worst enemies.

Where does one go,
To know their trust...
Has been needlessly rusted.
Busted and turned to dust.
And who is it that will dare to admit,
Their choice to permit...
Someone else to make them an idiot.
And where does one go,
To avoid such fools so easily made.
With this to know they volunteered,
Their minds to be duped to use!
