'Truth' Poem by NiQi Deveaux

In a world of greed and hate
And people who complain
Walking blindly, being led idly
Focusing on pain

Are vast and numerous wanderers
And so can make one think
You can lead a horse to water
But you still can't make it drink

I get that all, that's fine
But it still won't make me quit
Urging all my brothers and sisters
To come with me, and sit

Take my rose colored glasses
Slide them up upon their nose
Let their eyes, adjust in perfect time
See the world become... A rose

Among thorns and craggy bushes
See how the world could possibly be
Becoming the change in the world
That they would like to see

Cause tricky words do not teach
It's in actions, that we know
Do as I say, not as I do?
No, no, no, no, no, NO!

Hear the song of galaxies and stars
One song that's for us all
When you emerge from the for of insanity
You'll hear it's sweetly becoming call

A melody so wondrous
Universe just means 'one song'
You know you've got a part
Been waiting on you so long

To hear your instrument chime
In tune with all the rest
It's the heart that is steadily beating
Within the depths of your sweet chest

The energy moves along in time
Like a perfectly tuned clock
With my head rested to your bosom
Hear it now... tick-tock... Tick-tock

The tempo may change on any day
But still it beats in time
It can be measured in Hz or other souls
Research it and you'll find

The things that you are seeking
Are deep withinside you
It's not outward, travel inward
It's the only way to find your truth

With many truths and good science
To point out various ways
Long and arduous is the road to 'truth'
We've not the instruments to say

What inside we all know is buried
And the world may say we don't
Not cause it is easy to see the way
It's just cause my dear.... we won't
