Try To Love Again
The dreams you have and will not share,
This reticence of trust.
The hurt that's still within your heart,
denies a love that's just.
Your fantasy of lover's ploys,
a distortion of my reason.
Your mistrust of love, for lust.
The man, mistook, for treason.

As Jasmin said, Trust....so easy to gain and much more easier to break, We may fall victim once, but not a second time as we are on guard letting no one in, and possibly missing the chance to accept real love. Superb poem

This could have been wrote for me.... Once trust has been broken it takes a long time for things to mend and make sense but they do with time, , , , Yes I know you told me so
