Here I am trying so hard to be accepted
I’ll stand in the rain hours just to see your hands come to grab mine
I’ll stand in this moment forever even till the end of time
Truth is I’m so lost in your thoughtful look
I’m so hurt by the way you don’t accept my ways
I’ll walk in this rain for hours yes, lovely April showers
Time means nothing when you have nothing to lose
Even if I won your love I think it would more what we call pity
I’m trying so hard to prove myself
I’m trying so hard just be the way I am without adding anything to make you my man
Why can’t you accept me for who I am?
I’ll sit in these puddles of fallen rain till I get so cold and sick
You beg to come inside so you can warm me up
How about this… accept me the relief will heal me
I swear this right here… is how I will die
Without the acceptance of a loved one; with the rain being my showered doubts
But, the truth was you were there… you always loved me
It was more so something I couldn’t accept
I was your life…
