Trying To Let Go Poem by Kira Travis

Trying To Let Go

Rating: 2.5

Care free spirits rising up, yet
Taken down by the greed and the insecure.
Lost to life in the sight of clarity amid the dark.
Change has come too soon.
Demands made to be done in tune
Light and loving
Dark and lusting
Scared and unsure
the world still turns
Amid the light was sorrow
In the dark was fear
But they were not clear
It's still here
Rising up through the heart
An unforseen chance
Time doesn't heal all wounds
It prolongs it in stasis
Until the bearer can forgive
and be forgiven when the heart
Heals.
Moving so quickly and changing places
Perchance it's gone.
Hinting, all but spitting, it's done.
