'Tumbledrought' Poem by Rob Knetsch

'Tumbledrought'

In this desert
my footprints
into the horizon
sunk away deep
filled with sweat

All that sand
looks all the same
in all directions
all the way
into all horizons

I get to wonder
which way is forward?
did i come from where?
which is the way
to get out of here?

I look left
or is it right
i seem to spin
faster and faster
or do i?
