Twenty First Century Pimp. Poem by Buddy Bee Anthony

Twenty First Century Pimp.

Rating: 5.0

Babe, you
knocked the stuffing
out my teddy bears
threw soapy water over my baseball cards
licked my best rare stamps into your stamp book.
Sold my 30's comics at a rummage sale
for quick cash so you could remodel
your summer home.
While not standing beside me
in front of our friends..
So, baby
if you're the destination.
I'm going to change my travel plans.
I've tried to remain optimistic
by taking the long view
on your short stack
but, must I settle
for your rat a tat tat.
Can't I have better than that?
You've gorged on the freshest
You said, butcher, I like my meat sliced thin
slowly roasting
on your man sized spit.
Just as sunshine
displaces a storm
Every devil
has their charm.
You flirt with my odds
so I'm hedging my bets
running madly in circles
mending my nets.
How could you know what
justice is?
Presiding In the shadows,
sitting on your swivel chair
in your judges chambers
with your power hair
Your loose cherubic lips
have sunk many good ships.
How effortlessly
you've given even Holmes and Watson
the slip.

a bad habit for breaking
make no mistaking
You're
a twenty first century pimp.

Unsubstantiated are your credentials at
the holiest of places.
It's clear, you've hoodwinked
clerics and sages
A cross between Super fly Shaft
and Ms. Smiling faces
Twenty first Century Pimp

You say you've struggled
40 years a neauveau lost Hebrew
Stoking high desert sand drifts
gorging on God's manna,
as you play your Un Godly grift
You're a twenty first century.
Real Live Genuine, certified,
Membership card carrying, Pimp

Doing your best
with fairy dust to blind natives
then double billing them for a
seeing eye test.

You turn crimson, to blue
when anyone questions
the monster that's you.
You're nothing but a sell out your mother,
in a pinch, , untrustworthy, dishonest pimp.
Your passively aggressive.
When you should be aggressively kind.
With compassion served cold
All a snap and a snip.
You're a twenty first century pimp.

Silent, still is the woman who bore you.
Stunned to have come
from the same war hen as you...
The one blood,
, through lineage,
you're betrothed to
the one you owe the most to.
Now the old gal
is calling in principle with interest
and your payment is posting past due.

I've heard the myths
and all of your legends
of how God moves mountains
and his staff raised up
to part the Red sea
And how your version of
prophecy shall come to pass.
Gathering, your minions around
to kneel down and pray
while you administer the gas
You can only fly alone
cuz, you're such a snake in the grass
You're a one way ticket
pain in the ass.
You're awesome, brilliant, gorgeous,
so petite, an almost edible treat.
You're a
21st Century Pimp.

Living one day at a time
with the faith you hold in a mustard seed.'
But, your faith
bears no fruit
and no fruit doesn't cut
the mustard or any mustard that
I need.

Big Daddy War Bucks
A.C. to ground
installed flex connectors,
sealed the deal with particle board.
building an ecumenical empire
A smoke and mirrors
palace in the clouds
for Herr Commodore
and the Pimp Madame
Of The House

The stories of your life
and times are epic,
your bashes,
and coming out parties, ecstatic
While singing EIEIO
like Old MacDonald
equipped with room service
unfettered and fantastic.
Somehow, you'll
get the job done.
Map it all out.
You'll find a way
by calling 800 the fixer
to get it all zipped
up
and put neatly away.

All in like Flynn
for new or original sin
a pro on the skim.
with a blindingly dapper
show stopping grin.
You're a Pimp amongst Pimps.

I can best respond the way
my daddy did
He said you should call a spade a spade
Your candle's unlit
since it doesn't have a wick
I'm on to your game
with your cane and your limp
You're a genuine, bonafide, stamped
and certified.
twenty first century
pimp.
