Twenty Satyrs Poem by Emmanuel George Cefai

Twenty Satyrs

Twenty!
Those were satyrs
That invaded
Our square
Tonight.

Inside
The house
Heat
And sweltering
But
Here
Here in the square
The airs
Even if little
Make the cool!

Thirty!
Those were the nymphs
That invaded
Our square
To-night.

And there was feasting
Under stark starlight.

Beamed till the early Dawn
The old moonlight.
