Two Lattes Please Poem by Sheena Blackhall

Two Lattes Please

Two Lattes Please
Americano, Cinnamon Dolce, Caffè Misto, Cappucino
Macchiato, Caffè Mocha, Expresso shot & Frappucino

Honey Almond Milk Flat white
Komodo Drago clover. Quite
A wide selection to consider
Women who seek to drink and blether

See their nails, groomed, buffed, painted, shiny polished
Clutching their brew of choice, that is so relished
See the neat hands that pause above the treats
The fancies, calorie laden but such sweets!
Crumbs tumble down like someone's reputation
Gossip spices up a petty exultation
Perhaps Earl Grey's your beverage of choice
To whet your tongue and to give scandal voice

Better than a confession to a priest
A latte where all secrets are released
