Two Wolves Poem by Randy McClave

Two Wolves

Two wolves battle inside of us all
Which one is winning we do the call,
The old man told this story to his great grandson
And only we will know which one will have won.
One wolf is evil and the other one is good
With us they have both always fought and stood,
One wolf is anger, jealousy, and greed
Resentment, inferiority, lies, and ego and need.
The other wolf is joy, peace, love and hope
Humanity, kindness, empathy, and truth which helps us cope,
They have battled inside of us since the day we were born
Inside of us they have healed, and torn.
Eventually the weaker wolf will die and the stronger will win
Your soul will forever become their den,
Remember these words the grandfather then said
The wolf that will survive, will be the one you have fed.
