Typical Spring Day Poem by Nellekke Tak

Typical Spring Day

My paintings and drawings thumb-tacked on
The closet door
Two rocking chairs
A Snapple bottle
Filled with some clear liquor
Upon a shelf next to thousands of DVDs

I sit on his desk
In my summer cloths
Peering out through a thin black frame
He, on the bed
Peaceful and perfect

Two baskets of laundry
One clean, one not
The chess board I got him for
Our first Christmas together
Close at hand
A hollow globe filled with drugs
And a hat I’m not too proud of

870621345
A full grown tiger protecting us
From the sun and cold
Yes, I love this room
And the boy sitting on the other side.

A nice picturesque descriptive of your room...it was like something off of 'Room Raiders! ' Good poem. Top marks! -Michael
