Uglying Up The View Poem by Garrett Westcott

Uglying Up The View

Step aside mister
Your uglying up the view
Can't you see I haven't got?
The time of day for you
Sorry ma'am, I didn't mean to spoil
Your day in the park
Just lookin' for some supper
Before I wander off into the dark
The hobo steps aside
And hides his tears inside
And wonders where the woman will go
On the day she dies
'Truly I say to you,
To the extent that you did not
Do it to one of the least of these,
You did not do it to Me.'
