Unaware And Alone In Itself... Poem by Minnie Gehrig

Unaware And Alone In Itself...

Even as the leaves shake themselves,
Dull and colored,
from the long branches of trees,
Where love gives itself,
Sprawled and wide open,
On the yellowed grass,
In colours of blood and puss
Beautiful in there dying winds,

graveyards where i breathe you in and out again,
In deep gasps
that circle the ever changing September air,
While my hair unleashes itself
Mimics death in multicolour frenzy

and the dark comes early n wraps itself around solitude
until all the ticks and tocks reverberate loud
across our minds
n the seconds become ideas concepts n lifetimes...

Across the vast valleys of our eyes
N fear sets in that we will not be held through this..
thoughtful darkness,
N the desperation for companionship comes alive,
Like the full and waning moon
Collides with the beauty of the night sky

Unaware and alone in itself.........................
