Unbroken Chains Poem by william luo

Unbroken Chains

Rating: 4.5

Let my eyes lay upon your face,
May your lips speak words across my dreams.
To only be lost in time and delicate space,
For still your warmth is drifting it seems.

I have always longed the flame,
That burn continuously through darkness and cold.
But fear the malevolent eyes be tamed,
For I cannot grasp the tears of your soul.

Let my hands reach out for your voice,
To only hold onto an echo.
Which withers to a wind's whisper and noise,
For the warmth of your heart is let go.

Yet to me, the call of unlovingless is already heard.
Yes, the cry of your soul have always been spoken.
And may my hopes of your gratitude falling to mine disperse,
For the chains of your heart is not mine to be broken....
