Uncle Charlie Poem by Timothy McPoetry

Uncle Charlie

Rating: 5.0

6'4''
Well groomed beard
Soulful eyes
A cannon for a right arm

Is it 12: 30?
Only if you're an opposing batter

Your shoulder, hamburger
Your stuff, gnarly
Your WAR, the stuff of legends

Ask not for whom the Uncle Charlie tolls
It tolls for thee

Beautiful piece of poetry - a lovely tribute to a star of note, well articulated and nicely penned in heightened poetic diction with conviction. A lovely poem written from the heart. Thanks for sharing Timothy. Please read my poem COLOSSAL MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE.

Being a Cardinal fan, I affirm your assessment of Wainwrights's vicious hook.
