Uncommon Commonality Poem by Kalee Skriver

Uncommon Commonality

Glittering stars rain down from the heavens above.
I feel like I'm falling, stumbling into the alluring warmth of your arms.
Yet, we do not touch, we simply speak of that which we love.
Of the lives that we have lived, and the people who have loved us.
So different, yet so much alike.
In you, I find unfathomable trust.
Transfixed by the myriad of lights, I am hit with an undeniable truth.
Lying with you in this meadow, I am finally filled.
