Unforgettable Face - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Unforgettable Face - Lincoln Park Zoo

I have a fearsome face, I do.
It is my patient face I make
Here at home in Lincoln Park Zoo.
Beware this gaboon viper snake.
For on a scale of one to ten
A venomous ten I do be.
The longest snake fangs wait within,
Waiting for a signal from me.
I blend in well where I am at,
For unsuspecting to come near
Me hidden in my habitat,
Coming into my striking sphere.

When near enough, there is no doubt,
My face will show my fangs flash out.
