Unforgiving Poem by Satish Verma

Unforgiving

Festival of─
earthen lamps.
Separating the grain from chaff.

*

Pigeons will─
not be let out to fly.
It is going to be a moonless night.

*

The skin has peeled off.
Time to move on.
The bared trees.
