Universal Longing For Beyond, If Only Poem by James Darwin Smith II

Universal Longing For Beyond, If Only

Rating: 5.0

Up towards the sky
Upon the very place I wish I could reside
Stars shining everywhere
Traveling one destination to another
Visiting one place at a time
As open arms seems so much further away

Tired eyes
Restless mind
Soul searching
Heart yearning

For something
At least a direction
At least a sign
Something, Unbridled by design
Profoundly defined
By the essence of a sense of security
In the purpose of feeling of importance
One way or perhaps another

Fading

So exhausted in a way
Too energized otherwise
Never want to be a burden
Just want to ascend
Way up high and into the skies
Where the music is at its best
In the true beauty of an open arm captivation

Reminiscing

So many beautiful bright stars of the past
Always falling then bouncing away again
All came and then went
Leaving short moments
Of love and understanding
Unconditional love
Whatever what kind it might have been
Only to take off far away from here

High above
Beyond the clouds and sky
Stars exist
If only I could be one shooting
Across this endless universe
To where I truly need to reside

Stuck for now
Wishing to go astray
Traveling anywhere and everywhere
Places where this soul would be needed
Upon greater understandings
Of whom I am deeply from the inside
The far reaches of this matter
Nucleus of self
In all space and time

Divine

I want to keep living
Breathing for each sacred moment
Never feeling stuck again
As a spirit feeling imprisoned
No, never want to be frozen
No, never again

In life there are so many decisions
If only the stars decided one direction
Perhaps I could rest one last time
Traveling onward for a very long time
Venturing into the speed of light
Finding a brighter dreamy world
Filled with great understanding and compassion
