Universe Holds Your Body Poem by Patti Masterman

Universe Holds Your Body

Universe holds your body
Just like a dollhouse doll;
Like the birdcage holds the bird,
And so, becomes a wall.

But soul's a thing from other worlds,
It flies a freer range,
And keeps its own songs inwardly;
Its feathers never change.
