Unmasked Actions Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Unmasked Actions

One's journey to take,
On a decisive path.
Done to discover alone.
And for oneself,
If it is faith to have.
To have this had.
A facing of fear,
Is not first sought to seek it.
To know for them,
It is about the task.
Regardless of the obstacles.
Or threats to hear,
From others to ask.
Once a path one takes is chosen.

Unmasked actions.
Eliminating everything.
Including what is false to fake.
Faith to imitate it.
A face to mask for impressions to make.
And hypocrisies to live them made.
For the sake to keep from removing,
The truth to conceal.
Hoping acceptance and approval,
To address and express it wanted...
Leaves more an effect.
Than taking steps to move forward.
Done to discover alone with faith kept.
To do and by oneself.
On a path unmasked.
With action and not fear to face the task.

It takes faith.
Not false impressions to make.
Or hypocrisy sought to seek it masked.
