Unpredictable Human Beings Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Unpredictable Human Beings

Unpredictable human beings

I was unaware of his affair
And it is not fair also
To peep into somebody's matter
As you may sometime burst into anger

I was fortunate enough
To laugh
At somebody's bad doing
But I was not minding

I had little inkling
About our marriage and was willing
To share his concern and grief
And relive him to provide relief

I was unsure of his intention
As it was intact relation
We were moving in a cordial manner
But his intention was getting clear

The God may forbid me
For becoming bold and free
In one of the tragedy, I survived
But my expectation was short lived
I was incapacitated and was forced to be bedridden
These events took place all of sudden
Moreover, I was to be out of action and unable to walk
He had now an ample reason to ṭalk

There was no use to hold him forcibly
I took to task really
Life had become lonely and boring
I went on for another option and started silently exploring

I brought in one orphan boy
He was now my sky
I got powerful wings to fly again
It relieved my pain

The human beings are unpredictable
But I was among tough individuals
I took decision to live my own
And set the course even if the wind is adversely blown
