Unspeakable Poem by Alyssa Ellis

Unspeakable

A stab in the heart is what I
recieved
you pulled out the knife and just
watched me bleed

Not clearly strangers, both knowing
its more
confusion fills my head as I sink
to the floor

Thinking you would stay to hear
my last breath,
but then I felt the soft
thumping of each decending step

Wanting to cry out, but I had
to stay strong
because soon every ounce of love in
my heart would be gone

Hearing the door open, numbness taking
over pain
with all my strength I whispered
your unspeakable name..
