Unsung Heroes Poem by Khampa Boy

Unsung Heroes

The song in a rhythm swirl
And a tune in the fire whirl
Can you see them through their eyes?
Or will you listen least to realize?

A word within the words untold
This is a call you must them behold
Singing in a tune at the nick of time
And soothing their souls in hopes sublime

They went through the fires and not bombs
For they prayed for peace over their tombs
Where the spirit of a holy land was castled
And for centuries their fore fathers were settled

The warriors of the snow land are dead
But over their bier no rivals' blood was shed
They were tortured and targeted in grave
Yet they spoke the truth for they are brave

They are gone yet the song remained unheard
For deaf is the world as their visions blurred
But deeds are noble as history will record
Their deathless theme, the truth our lord
