Untitled Poem by Julia Mackay

Untitled

As I look out my own room window.
I am alone, my eyes travel,
Far and near.
Why am I here and alone?
what must I do, or seek,
To fulfill, what? As I'm 86, this year.
I do declare, I pray each day.
For me, for you, for everyone out there.
That the good "Lord", above
Has given me the most precious
Gift, better than gold.
A gift of a new found friend,
That she is a likable, loving person,
And is caring, sharing
Without a thought, she is
