Untitled At The Moment Poem by Chelsea Stevens

Untitled At The Moment

I stand breathless in the cold night wind,
The air whips around me as I take my final Step.

I step into the shadows, Where darkness overcomes.
I never knew it would consume me, but I thought wrong.
I wraps around me like a blanket, I think I can stay safe, and have no worries.
Only soon do I realize, It's just a mistake, Reminding me of how many I have Done.

I take one step away, but it doesn't release,
Icry out for help, but noone hears me,
Is this what it feels like to be isolated?
To know nothing but the Darkness that consumes me?

Not but a few steps in front of me a path appears,
It splits at the end, Left or right?
One is for Light and the other for Dark,
Where can i go whenI am entangled with Darkness?

Can i find my own path?
Or keep straying away?

Only one can decide,
And That one is me..
