Unwelcome Journey Poem by Uriah Hamilton

Unwelcome Journey

Rating: 5.0

You’re driving home to New Jersey
With a heart full of fear and sadness.
A year ago, your father drove to see you,
His old eyes still bright with vibrant life;
Now you make a trip you don’t want to make
Back to your girlhood home
That you fear is vanishing forever.
On such occasions, I hope prayers
Fly into the heart of God,
I’ll try to make this trip with you
