Upon A Star (Revision) Poem by Kewayne Wadley

Upon A Star (Revision)

Last night I met an angel
Dressed in velvet black lace.
I loved the way she bit her
lip.
A prayer circumventing her halo.
The moon not far behind
Lighting the way.
I love how she slipped into my hand
Modeling me around the room,
My nose pressed loose against her
hair.
Last night there wasn't a single
cloud in the sky.
The stars wrapped around her toes,
her knees, her waist.
Last night
She made me a believer
Lost in the universe
On my back, staring up at the sky.
I held on tight
A wish upon a star.
Reaching into the mouth of her halo.
Last night I met an angel
Dressed in velvet black lace.
Last night I learned to fly
