Upon This Rock Poem by JoAnn McGrath

Upon This Rock

Rating: 5.0

I'll build my house upon this rock.
I'll build it with some sturdy blocks.
Then each block I'll lovingly place,
to strengthen my foundations base.

So if the rains should come to flood.
And the earth around has turned to mud.
Or even winds or mighty gales.
My house will stand with no avail.

There's somthing incredibly reassuring about the metaphor of the rock - something biblical too! A simple piece penned from truth without pretension. love, Allie xxxx
