Measure not my love
with roses and gifts,
songs and praises,
with minutes and hours
with diamonds and gold,
but darling measure my love
with the tender words
i wrote for you in the
endless nights,
the prayers that
i prayed in every temple,
measure my love like a mother
to a child, without boundaries,
with the laughter we laughed,
and the warmth we spread,
love that we shared
and gave it to others,
but surely, measure my love
with the life that we gave
to love itself, yours and mine.
The Wolfe has nailed it, spot-on...romantic & impressive...but what else could we expect from a scribe of your capacity? ! F j R 2009
This is an absolutely beautiful romantic Valentine. The kind that everyone would like to receive. It expresses all the right sentiments. This is a very special writing. I am most impressed by this. True creativity at work. GW62

Ah but Reshma, the roses are but tokens, the measure is always how we are loved and love in return, how can you express that love, sing from the highest mountain perhaps, so we give tokens... Andy 10

I would like to translate this poem
'to love itself' - those words conjure up thoughts of great meaningful love
