Vim And Vigor Poem by Elisabeth Wingle

Vim And Vigor

Rating: 4.8

If the truth be told
I am getting old
Things are looking rather grim,

Just 10 years ago
Every day I'd go
To the pool to have a swim

I want to go in
I just lost my Vim
I lost my Vim and vigor

Well it's just my luck
My warranty's up
How will I keep my figure?

EAW, you somehow managed to make it seem as though each stanza had good rhymes! nice job, and i 'love' the self-deprecating nature of this cutie, Cutie! ======================================= vim and vigor Ebullient vitality and energy, as in He was full of vim and vigor after that swim. This redundant expression uses both vim and vigor in the sense of “energy” or “strength.” - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Time For A Tune Up? ? ? SO, you should have spent MORE... on your warranty! But don't be sore. We all get OLD and FLABBY, sure, and for these events there is NO cure. Well, at least no cure many wish to take, as most want to have AND eat their cake... and pie, and pastries! The best i can do now is give this advice: take a photo of yourself NOW, looking nice. Well at least as nice as one such can look, and put it in a nice pink-bowed scrapbook, so, in case you've got no earlier (better) shot, you'll have that one to show after you go to pot. So what if YOU look like Wes at your age (55) . Some look much worse, but.............THOSE are not alive! bri ;) i choose this Vim And Vigor for the July 2016 a showcase for PH poets, hiding in my list of poems on my PH site.

Eighty-six in MAY, but not old In denial, if truth would be told. I have had a good break.. Never had a headache, And I've only one eye but it's gold. I've been drawing since six, a cartoonist Pretty good but I'm no opportunist. Rather late, now, I fear You can follow me here... PoemHUNTER, with 'Oogie', poltroonist.
