Vision Of Beauty Poem by Jason Bonhomme

Vision Of Beauty

Rating: 5.0

Mystic green eyes
Hair tied in a braid
Your cheeks like ledges
A smile the Goddess splayed

Ink stains and tattoos
Line your upper thigh
Body fitting skirt in pink hues
I must avert my eye

Your beauty has floored me
Speechless have I become
Regain my centre quietly
Lest you know that I am stung

Focus on the music
The drink in my right hand
Start to feel more lucid
It is then that I understand

I breathe in your scent
My eyes drink your olive skin
For this day are our hearts meant
To entwine in love again

I drink my last drink
Behold your profile
Enigmatic smile
My shyness, eternal block to union
Too crowded in this room
Turn on my heel
Leave behind
A chance at joy
This time around
Gin the bind
I'll see you in time.
